In preparation for the upcoming season (and beyond), 14 coaches from the Coginchaug Soccer Club attended a 3 day coaching clinic this weekend. The coaches received training ideas, coaching philosophy, and tactical and technical training tips from some of the world's top coaches, including Dick Bate (Cardiff City FC Youth Academy), Dave Clarke (Quinnipiac Univ.) Ralph Perez (University of Redlands, Former US National and MLS Coach), Paul Marco (NSCAA National staff and Binghamton Univ.), Tony DiCicco (World Cup Champion and Olympic Gold Medal winning Coach) and Ray Reid (UCONN Head Coach and 4 time National Champion).
There is no doubt that the soccer knowledge obtained from these coaches and all the presenters at the event will translate to improve our players and teams for many seasons to come.
