Volunteers from Durham Church Arrive in Kentucky for Tornado Cleanup

Members of the United Churches of Durham have traveled 800 miles to lend a hand after tornadoes leveled the state in March.

 

About 40 members of the United Churches of Durham arrived in Kentucky on Monday to help with cleanup efforts following a tornado outbreak this spring.

The group's effort was reported on the local news Monday night.

According to the report, some members even earned the honorary title of Kentucky Colonel by the state's General Assembly.
