Watch: District 17 Budget Presentation

Superintendent Howard Thiery explains how the budget process works for the Haddam-Killingworth school district.

 

Crafting the school budget for the new school year is an endeavor that takes many months and many meetings to pull together. Have you ever wondered how the budget process works? Watch the RSD 17 Board of Education meeting here to see Superintendent Thiery explain how the process unfolded for the Haddam-Killingworth school district. Thiery's presentation is followed by a board discussion on the budget.

The RSD17 BOE vote on the budget will take place on May 7 at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium to adopt the proposed regional 2012-2013 school year budget of $38,894,732.84. The public referendum vote is scheduled for May 8 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the local town voting machine locations in Haddam and Killingworth.

Copies of the budget are availabe at the Superintendent's office as well as at the Haddam and Killingworth town clerks' offices.
