Sexting, Social Host Topics of Discussion at Monthly Meeting

Killingworth's Resident Trooper to address topics on Wednesday night.

 

Informational Group for Parents

This group meets once monthly.  The February meeting will meet on Feb. 15, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the  library.  The featured speaker will be TFC Matthew Ward, Killingworth Resident State Trooper.  Trooper Ward will speak about what students are taught by the Connecticut State Police about alcohol, other drugs, and making good decisions.   He will also explain the social host law and what it means to parents as well as sexting and what parents need to know so they can educate their children.

The group is facilitated by Liz Young, Guidance Counselor at Haddam-Killingworth Middle School, and Cheryl Chandler, Director of Youth and Family Services of Haddam-Killingworth.  If school is cancelled for any reason (weather), the meeting will be also.
