The 8th annual community round-up will take place Saturday, Dec 7 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Teams made up of students, teachers, parents and community members will be roving the town in a scavenger like fashion.
Students will travel in teams of three or four following assigned routes to collect nonperishable items, canned goods and gift cards that will be distributed to the needy.
This event fills both towns' food pantries and additional items are delivered to the Amazing Grace food pantry in Middletown.
Last year over 11,000 food items and $2400 was collected. It would be great to have some news coverage of this awesome event.
The peak of everyone working together takes place around 10:30-11:00 a.m.
