On Wednesday, Sept. 21, the Haddam Killingworth High School volleyball team defeated North Branford 3-0. Game scores were 25-2, 25-20 and 25-14.
CC Zygmont had 16 service points and 6 digs. Brianna Church had 7 digs and 3 service points. Kristen Carlson had 12 assists, 5 digs, and 9 service points. Ana Tarbetsky had 10 kills, and 5 digs. Emma Soneson served 7 points. Kayla Gesick served 8 points and had 8 digs.
On Friday, Sept. 23, the Cougar spikers went to Old Lyme and swept the Wildcats 3-0, with game scores of 25-15, 25-20, and 25-12.
Brianna Church had 12 digs and 4 kills. Kirsten Carlson had 21 assists and 10 service points. Ana Tarbetsky had 13 kills, 9 digs, and 3 aces.
CC Zygmont served 7 points and had 3 kills. Emma Soneson served 15 points and 14 digs. Jenna Martin served 4 points and Taylor Emerson added 3 service points.
The volleyball team is now 4–1 and travels to East Hampton on Monday for a match at 5:30 p.m.
