Middlefield’s Finances - Some Interesting Facts

The Regional District 13 education budget consumes in excess of 74% of all Middlefield tax revenues.  What remains is allocated to the town.

Since 2006, the Town’s Operating Budget has functioned at a modest 2.8% growth rate. All the while, Middlefield has been able to meet its normal operating expenses without showing a history of borrowing.  Sound fiscal management has enabled the Undesignated (Rainy Day) fund to more than double over the past eight years to over 1.5 million dollars.

Middlefield’s finances are in excellent shape.  That is why I am supporting the Brayshaw/Bailey team for re-election on November 5.
