Lake Beseck Beach Opens for Summer [VIDEO]

Beach passes are required and cost $25.

Lake Beseck beach officially opened over the weekend but unlike the weather, the beach was relatively quiet ahead of the Fourth of July holiday.

By Sunday afternoon, more than 100 Middlefield residents had purchased an annual beach pass, which cost $25 and are required to swim at the beach.

Lifeguards will be on duty 7-days-a-week, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. through mid-August.

Watch Patch's video: Lake Beseck Beach lifeguards Steve Gambino and Jeff Baram share two important safety tips.

Beach passes are available for purchase at Middlefield Town Hall or at the beach on weekends, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

You must be a Middlefield resident to purchase a pass. Residents 62 or older are free. A beach pass is valid for a family and up-to 4 guests.

I would suggest to parents to donate a book to the classroom or school library in their child's nameRead More to celebrate the child's birthday, or other significant event, instead of sending in cupcakes or other sweets.
