Durham Registrar's Office Holding Special Voter Registration Day

The municipal elections are on Nov. 5 in Connecticut.

The Durham Registrars of Voters remind all residents to register to vote ahead of the Nov. 5 municipal elections.

There will be special registration hours on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 2-4 p.m. on the Town Green. Also, on Oct. 29, the registrars will be in their office late — from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. — to allow evening, last-minute registrations.

"In order to vote in the upcoming municipal election on Nov. 5, you can register to vote in person at any time up until Oct. 29," the registrars said.

If you want to register to vote by mail, the deadline is one week earlier and must be postmarked by Oct. 30.

"This year, there will be an Election Day Registration option, which will require additional identification documents and will take place at Town Hall and not Korn School. We urge all citizens to register to vote before October 29th to ensure a more convenient Election Day," the registrars said.
