Police: Second Lawn Mower Stolen in Durham

Troop F is investigating the theft of a second John Deere lawn tractor from a shed on Dinatale Drive.

 

State police are investigating another theft of a lawn mower from a shed in Durham.

According to Trooper Larry Morello, a John Deere lawn tractor worth about $3,500 was stolen from an unlocked shed at 218 Dinatale Drive sometime between June 9 and June 20.

The tractor, which is six years old, was discovered missing on Wednesday, a report says.

On Tuesday, the town of Durham of the recent thefts of lawn mowers and power equipment. 

The alert also warned residents about a company called Powerhouse Construction, which has been operating without a permit, according to town officials.

"We are not sure if this group is related to the thefts, however, if this group solicits at your door; please call 911 so that the CT State Police can investigate," the alert said.

Residents are urged to keep their sheds and garages locked at all times.
