Police Search for Hit-and-Run Driver

Police say a driver hit a 15-year-old while she was riding her bike in Killingworth but fled the scene of the accident last week.

State police are searching for a driver that hit a 15-year-old riding her bicycle in Killingworth last week, but fled the scene.

The hit-and-run happened at the intersection of Chittenden Road and Green Hill Road in Killingworth around 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13, police say.

According to a report, the driver ran a stop sign at the intersection before colliding with the teen.

The teen was taken to Middlesex Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Police say the car, described as a red sedan, continued south on Green Hill road towards Clinton.
