Friday, May 18

Police are investigating a hit and run accident in the parking lot of Grippo's Mobile Gas Station at 349 Main Street, Durham. According to police, a white Honday being operated by a young, white female was backing out of a parking stall when the vehicle struck the right rear quarter panel of another vehicle causing damage to both cars. The operator evaded the scene, police say. The vehicle is likely to have damage to its right rear quarter panel, according to a report. No injuries were reported.

Saturday, May 19

Corre Parmentier, 18, of Higganum was issued a written warning for following to close after police say he caused a three-car crash in Killingworth. The accident happened along Route 81, about a half-mile south of Route 148, according to a police report. Police say Parmentier was traveling northbound in a 1994 Toyota Camry when he struck the rear of another vehicle, causing it to hit the rear of another car. A woman in the vehicle that Parmentier hit was taken to Middlesex Hospital for evaluation. Two vehicles were towed from the scene of the accident, the report says.

Sunday, May 20

State police are investigating an accident along Roast Meat Hill Road in Killingworth. According to a police report, a vehicle lost control and struck a mailbox at 119 Roast Meat Hill Road in the early morning hours of May 20. The driver evaded the scene.
