Man Leaps From Home to Escape Fire

Firefighters from Middlefield responded Saturday to an early morning blaze on Miner Street in Middletown where a resident was injured escaping the flames.

 

A man leapt from the second floor window of a house on Miner Street to escape a fire early Saturday in the Westfield section of Middletown, according to several reports.

The blaze, which began some time after midnight, was knocked down in a half-hour, the Hartford Courant reported
