Durham-Middlefield Police Blotter: March 9-16

The following arrest information was supplied by local and state police departments. It does not indicate a conviction

 

Saturday, March 9

Kathleen Hayes-Kane, 50, of 132 David Road, Durham, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol, risk of injury to a minor and failure to maintain lane. According to State Police, Hayes-Kane was stopped along Interstate 91 in Meriden after being observed swerving from the right lane to the center lane. She is due in court on March 29.

Sunday, March 10

Dana Ann Wistrand, 46, of 184 Higganum Road, Durham, was arrested by Clinton Police and charged with operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence and failure to drive in proper lane.

Thursday, March 14

Christopher M. Augustine, 31, of 129 Maple Avenue, Durham, was arrested and charged with threatening and disorderly conduct. According to police, Augustine was placed under arrest for a domestic violence incident which occurred at his residence. Augustine was released on $500 non-surety bond.

Saturday, March 16

At approximately 1:36 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident along Route 17 in Durham near Notre Dame Church. According to police, a Ford Bronco driven by David Lehet, 30, of 121 Meriden Road, Middlefield, rear ended another vehicle and fled the scene. No injuries were reported. The case remains under investigation.

James Doughty, 51, of Middletown, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol and speeding. According to police, Doughty was stopped for driving 60 mph in a 40 mph zone along Route 66 in Middlefield. The trooper detected a strong oder of alcohol on Doughty and he was subsequently arrested. Doughty is due in court on April 2.
