Five Things: Did You See That Crash?

Five things to know for Thursday, May 24, 2012.

 

1. What's the Weather? Wow, Wednesday was humid! The National Weather Service is calling for cloudy skies, with a high near 73 today. Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 60.

2. Mock Crash: A mock car crash highlighting the dangers of drinking and driving will be presented Thursday morning at Coginchaug High School. The event gets underay at 9 a.m. Pickett Lane will be closed for a short time during the event and access to the high school can me made through Maiden Lane. 3. Val & Sal: Coginchaug High School has announced that Rebecca Weir has been named Valedictorian of the Class of 2012. Jessie Siegel has been named Salutatorian. Be sure to stay tuned for a follow up with both Whiz Kids!

4. Go Far Needs Parade Marchers: Go Far is marching in next week's Memorial Day Parade in Durham. We found this message on Facebook: If your child isn't marching in band, bball or soccer (which leaves about 10 of you) please have them wear their Go Far shirt and march with us.
