PURPLELIGHT CT – National Vigil for Hope

 ,   Add to calendar
999 W Main St Meriden CT 06451  See map

PurpleLight Vigil for Hope is a time to honor loved ones fighting pancreatic cancer and those who have lost the fight. It is a wonderful opportunity for family and friends of those touched by pancreatic cancer to come together to gain both comfort and encouragement. Last fall, in communities across the country, thousands of people participated in one of over forty-five PurpleLight Vigil for Hope events.
This fall we will come together to turn the country purple for PurpleLight 2012! Join us in creating awareness of pancreatic cancer and honoring those who have battled this disease, knowing that people all across the United States are doing the same.  Registration is required at www.purplelight.org, although the event is FREE. Contact Name: Judith Lamson Rockwell, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network CT Affiliate Coordinator; jlrockwell@pancanvolunteer.org

I would suggest to parents to donate a book to the classroom or school library in their child's nameRead More to celebrate the child's birthday, or other significant event, instead of sending in cupcakes or other sweets.
