Haddam Volunteer Ambulance Service Open House

May 20th – May 26th is National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) week.  The purpose of National EMS Week is to bring together Haddam Volunteer Ambulance Service (HVAS) medical personnel and members of our local community to publicize safety and honor those who provide front line day-to-day medical lifesaving services.

If you have ever thought of becoming a volunteer, now is your chance.

HVAS will be kicking off EMS week by hosting its first annual Open House on Sunday, May 20th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at its headquarters at 9 Skinner Rd. in Higganum.  HVAS will be offering free blood pressure screenings, tours of its ambulances, a question and answer session with our Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s), mock situations (sling/swathe, etc), refreshments and giveaways.
