Trick-Or-Treat? It's Up to You

A lot of parents are probably wondering whether the annual neighborhood pilgrimage is still on? The answer is simple:

Trick-or-treat is not a town sponsored or managed event, therefore residents must make their own decision about whether to participate.

"I don’t see any reason to be concerned about trick or treating. There is not a lot of debris to worry about.  Again, parents will have to make that decision," Durham First Selectman Laura Francis said in an email to Patch.

It begs the question, are you planning to take the kids trick-or-treating Wednesday night?

I would suggest to parents to donate a book to the classroom or school library in their child's nameRead More to celebrate the child's birthday, or other significant event, instead of sending in cupcakes or other sweets.
