So far in 2011, six Boy Scouts from Troop 33 in Middlefield have earned Eagle Scout, matching a standard set in 2001. is the latest Eagle inducted into Eagle Honor Roll.

Former Powder Ridge Ski Area owner Kenneth Leavitt filed a lawsuit this week against Middlefield Holdings LLC, which bought the ski area at auction in 2008. Check back with Patch next week for more details of the lawsuit.

Several residents about the ongoing controversy over White's Farm during Monday's Board of Selectman meeting in Durham. First Selectwoman Laura Francis said the town will have a report from the state on a possible solution to flooding at the property at the next meeting, on July 11.

If your summer plans include a trip to one of Connecticut's state beaches you can now get . Starting this week the Department of Transportation began providing information on the social media website, including parking information and safety warnings.

State police are investigating the third in Killingworth in less than three weeks. A homeowner returned home Thursday evening to find that thieves had stolen televisions, a computer, jewelry and cash.

Friday

A Durham family has joined the effort to the faces of sick children. Carlie and Kate Annecchino recently finished sewing pillowcases for ConKerr Cancer's A Case For Smiles.

Police are investigating several complaints from residents in Middlefield over a . Police say the salesman is often "pushy" and has "worn out his welcome."
