Durham/Middlefield Exchange Club Featured on Destination Durham

Tune in today at 1 p.m. or 7 p.m., on Comcast Channel 19.

Destination Durham, in it’s latest series, will be taking an in depth look at our community service organizations. Tonight’s episode will feature the Durham/Middlefield Exchange Club.

Host Laura Francis speaks with Exchange Club President Mark Jungles and member Mike Viccaro about The Exchange Club, the spirit of volunteerism and the services Durham/Middlefield Exchange Club provides to the Town of Durham.

The National Exchange Club was founded in 1911 in Detroit, Michigan by a group of business owners who would meet to “exchange ideas”. This year the National Exchange Club will celebrate its 100th anniversary. According to their website, the Exchange Club is known as “America's Service Club”. It “is a group of men and women working together to make our communities better places to live through programs of service in Americanism, community service, youth activities, and its national project, the prevention of child abuse”.
