Donate Your Garden Leftovers

Keeping up with summer's harvest can be tough, so why not donate your garden extras to Amazing Grace Food Pantry in Middletown.

Earlier this summer Patch reported on the new opportunity for local backyard gardeners to donate their extra garden crops to St. Vincent de Paul's Amazing Grace in Middletown.

Motivated by the efforts of Junior Girl Scouts Troop 62650 of Durham (check back for their story soon), I visited Amazing Grace on Wednesday to drop off some of my excess tomatoes and fresh herbs, including basil, rosemary and mint.

If you're interested in making a donation, just stop by at 16 Stack Street in Middletown (food drop-offs are located in the rear of the building).

They'll weigh your donation and you'll walk away knowing that someone will be enjoying the fruits (and veggies) of your labor!
