1. What's the Weather? The beautiful spring weather continues. Today is going to be sunny with a high near 75, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 41.

2. Who's Selling on Sunday? Connecticut lawmakers recently passed a bill that allows liquor stores to sell alcohol on Sunday. Check back with Patch on Saturday for a look at whether local stores are buying into the new law.

3. Summer Paperback Book Sale: The  will be selling paperback books on Saturday from 8am-1pm. It is a great time to stock up on your beach reads!

4: Seniors' Picnic: The Durham Senior Citizens Board will host a FREE indoor/outdoor picnic from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. . And speaking of picnics, don't miss the tomorrow night from 4-7 p.m.

5. This Day in History: On May 18, 1860, Abraham Lincoln wins the Republican Party presidential nomination over William H. Seward, before eventually becoming the 16th President of the United States.

I'm not liking the new format either...trying hard to get used to it. I feel like I miss a lot asRead More you can't see as many articles at once like before. And I miss seeing the other towns articles at the bottom.

I'm not a fan of the new format either, the old one was much easier to read and find what I wanted.Read More And, for the record, I've always hated any kind of coke and still do.
