Daily Five: Okay, Nobody Panic... Just Bring Your Library Card

1. What's the Weather? Areas of drizzle before 10 a.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 3 p.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 72. Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely before midnight, otherwise cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 52.

2. Durham PZC Approves Special Permit The town's Planning and Zoning Commission on Wednesday night approved two requests by Durham Manufacturing Company for the company's property at 199 Main Street. The approvals clear the way for a day spa and a psychologists office to be located in the building.

3. Important Notice from the Durham Public Library On Wed. 10/10, our computer system is switching to a new server, so our services will be limited that day. (This will not affect the public computers. You will be able to use them as usual.) 

*Most importantly, YOU'LL NEED YOUR LIBRARY CARD to check out anything on 10/10. You will not be able to check anything out without it.
*There will be no renewals, placing holds, paying fines or new library cards on 10/10.
*The online catalog will also be unavailable.

We regret any inconvenience and will strive to provide you with the best service possible. Normal service should resume on Thursday, 10/11.
