Update: Durham In Bloom to Close by June

Local Main Street florist to shut its doors.

Durham In Bloom, a mainstay on Main Street in Durham for the past six years, will close its doors by June, according to owner Jamie Stanley.

The florist has served thousands of customers over the years, including local students during prom season and weddings.

"I've turned three away this week," said Stanley, who lives in Durham and is giving up the business for personal reasons.

She hoped to find someone that might want to continue the business, and possibly even keep the name.

I would suggest to parents to donate a book to the classroom or school library in their child's nameRead More to celebrate the child's birthday, or other significant event, instead of sending in cupcakes or other sweets.
