“This is the 9th year for the Durham Fair Talent Show. We had over 50 respondents to our request for audition and we auditioned just under 40, and selected 15 finalists.

"This year’s show promises to be one of the best ever. We will be featuring an extremely talented cast of performers. In addition to some great singers we have a hoop dancer, a family singing group, a banjo player, and a really cool duet.

"The contestants this year come from all over Connecticut and we will see some performances that will really make a memorable impression on us all.

“This is my 9th year as MC and I am happy to announce Kara Drenzek as an MC this year. Kara actually was a contestant several years ago, and now displays her unique charm and love of music as she will introduce all of our special talent. Several of our winners and ‘almost winners’ have gone on to Nashville, New York, and other parts of the country to jump start a career that had its' seedlings at the Durham Fair Talent Show.”
