Twinkies Are Back, Are You Excited?
This new brand of Twinkies are smaller but cost the same.
Durham and Middlefield; Twinkies are back, smaller than ever.
Thanks to the purchase of the brand by Apollo Global Management and Metropoulos & Co., Twinkies began reappearing on shelves throughout America earlier this week. However, these new Twinkies are smaller than their predecessors, but cost the same.
The Associated Press reports that the newly-released Twinkies are only 135 calories each, or 38.5 grams. Previously, Twinkies were 150 calories and 42.5 grams each. Still, the suggested retail price for a box of Twinkies is $3.99
