Nearly 300 Golfers Attend 'World's Largest Outing' At Lyman Orchards

Proceeds from the Aug. 12 event in Middlefield will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

Lyman Orchards celebrated its third annual golf outing event this past weekend, and dozens of golfers partook in the charity event.

In a posting on YouTube, the Middlefield business said that nearly 300 golfers as well as 150 golf course businesses came out on Aug. 12 to participate in the World's Largest Golf Outing.

Of those 150 courses, Lyman Orchards had the largest participation and generated the most money for the event that was benefitting from the occasion — the Wounded Warrior's Project, Lyman said.

Lyman Orchards alone raised about $42,000 from the event, The Middletown Press reported.
