Lemonade Stand Raises Money for Durham Girl Battling Leukemia

Logan Willett, a fourth-grader at Korn Elementary School, spent his Thursday afternoon raising money for his friend, Brenna Zettergren.

 

9-year-old Logan Willett of Durham raised $369.50 at his lemonade stand at the farmers' market on Thursday afternoon.

The fourth-grader organized the fundraiser with the help of friends and family to benefit Brenna Zettergren, a 5-year-old girl from Durham who's fighting Acute Lymphatic Leukemia.

"It just came to me, because I know Brenna is sick so I thought it would help," said Logan, who easily surpassed his goal of raising between $100-$150. 

"It will help her buy medicine to help make her feel a little bit better," he said.

Logan's younger brother Aidan, and Lindsay and Kailey Lipka also helped out.
