Women's Hike

Join Women of the Woods naturalists, Lucy Meigs for an approximately 4-mile, moderately paced, WOMEN’S HIKE  in this beautiful, little known preserve owned by the Nature Conservancy. We will enjoy some little waterfalls and Chapman Pond (one of the states few freshwater, tidal ponds) . We will do a bit of off trail hiking to get to the top of the bluff and take in the view. In addition to walking, we take the time to admire the beauty around us, learn about the flora and fauna, have some quiet time in the woods and enjoy each others company. Bring sturdy footwear, a snack, and water. Meet at the Chapman Pond parking area on River Rd (contact Lucy for detailed directions) Sponsored by Women of the Woods (WomenoftheWoods.org). Pre-registration is RECOMMENDED. Questions, directions, rain plan, and to register: contact Lucy Meigs, lucy@WomenoftheWoods.org, (860) 395-7771. This Hike is a National Trails Day Event
