Bountiful Harvest Potluck

This Friday, September 13th, Coginchaug Area Transition is hosting our second annual bountiful harvest potluck from 6-8 pm under the pavilion at Peckham Park in Middlefield.  All are welcome to attend!  Bring a harvest dish to share with a recipe/ingredient card so others can make your dish at home!  Don't have a vegetable garden?  Visit the Durham Farmer's Market this Thursday from 3-6PM to pick up some local produce and use your creativity!  We want to make every effort for this event to produce no waste, so people are asked to bring their own reusable plates, cups, cutlery, cloth napkins, etc. and we will have buckets for composting food waste. Children are welcome, and there will be music provided by Kathy Weber of Middlefield, and Jeff Munsie of Middletown.  CAT will also provide drinks!  Last year we hosted a potluck with people from our 100 gardens initiative, where we documented over 50 gardens in our area!  CAT hopes to foster an environment for people to share their knowledge and experience of what they have grown, and learn about what they may be interested in trying to grow and cultivate in the future.
