New Convenience Store Opens in Durham
The Durham Mini Mart is open from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
A new gas station and convenience store in Durham officially opened its doors this week.
It's called the Durham Mini Mart, and it is located on Route 17 just north of Carmine's Restaurant. Apart from selling Exxon Mobil gasoline, the store sells an assortment of food items, drinks and other typical convenience store products.
But owner Syed Sami said he plans on selling local foods as well, including pastries from a local bakery, eggs and frozen yogurt.
"I don't want this to just be a convenience store," Sami, of North Haven, said. "I want this to be a local, community store."
The mini mart will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
