Hopefully the school system obtained more than a 2 year guarantee on the STATE of the ARTS facility.…Read More This would be very upsetting if we are responsible to pay out of town funds to fix this.

Does the State of Connecticut have anyone watching the Stores ?? It seems each and every State…Read More Department has run up a Big deficit before anyone rings the bell. Maybe we should hire the Hartford Courant reporters to do the Job, as they seem to be the ones that uncover these things.

GEE what a surprise, a deficit with our colleges!!! Wake up people, are country is trillions, and…Read More trillions of $$$$ in debt, our country is BROKE. Of course our colleges owe all sorts of money, just like the postal service, and every other institution.. Fiscal cliff, debt ceiling, sequester, what in the world do you think all that means? Do you think it means our economy is gonna bounce back?? NO WAY, they keep pushing the S#%@ foward, until they cant push anymore, and then it will collapse period. It amazes me how blind americans to whats going on around them...

If Danny Boy paid as much attention to this as he does to Gun Control it would'nt be a problem.

It is much the same in Durham: The tally sheet (my area) showed a sad story. People, partisanship…Read More aside, for untold generations, men, women and children, yes, children, bled, died, and ofttimes ended their family lines forever , so we could have this privilege today. Just think: consider that your vote validates, in some small way, their selfless gift, of their lives, to us. We all must die: but they did so for good and honorable reason . Let us acknowledge that, and VOTE!

One step at a time. First I have to figure out whether I'm really a party of only two or three.…Read More Right now it don't look too promising though. Few seem to care. They're whipped. They seem to surrender to the hoots, to be willing to accede to the unspoken expectations , to want to go-along-get-along, to pretend everything is great here, better than over there anyway, that's why we moved here in the first place. Or maybe they don't read Patch. Plus, and one day I may elaborate on this , I have had an epiphany on the reason for this Town's emphasis on increasingly favoring , and funding , the needs of Special Education.
Education .

I URGE everyone to vote NO NO NO, enough is enough with this spending that continues to put us…Read More further into debt, and puts tremendous strain on our already starving budgets... Our economy has never been worse, and continues to decline at an alarming rate. Its time to do without, before more famlies are driven out of this state. Our country is trillions, and trillions of $$$ in debt, its time we hold all these representitives accountable for all there mis-handlings of our hard earned money. VOTE NO, and lets take our town back before its toooo late!!

Fair enough request but again where is the state going to come up with the money? The state is over…Read More $1,000,000,000 in debt as I type this and it increases everyday, floating bonds to cover their wreckless spending. All of us will be covering this cost one way or another, from the local view or state we will pay for it. Perhaps the new July 1st gas tax increase will do it as I do not see the gun community funding enough due to the ammo certificate revenue that gets dumped into the general fund and not for school safety or the DEP. I am not a welfare begger nor do I crawl for handouts and will not take any action regarding this request. I knew this was coming and I am prepared to maintain my quality of life without banging my tin cup. Funny how people screamed about the bailouts but then look for the same thing! Talk about "Core Ethical Values"......be careful what "values" you are teaching your kids.
