I like your philosophy, but it is almost impossible to retire in this State of CT unless you retired from the State of CT with at least Ten years of employment or were in the Educating (Teaching) field and have all those wonderful benefits. Even at that, I see so many of those people pack up and move to the southern states where the "cost of living" and economy so much better than in CT

" Just look back at what happened at Main Street and the entrance to Strong, Korn and the Coginchaug High Schools in Durham. The cost was outrageous and the State of CT wouldn't foot the bill, so we (Taxpayers) are on the hook for it.

As for chinese, the guy who owns the nearby blue building where the tack shop is now tried very hard to get a chinese restaurant in there but he couldn't find anyone willing to move or open a new one there.
