Powder Ridge Boarded Up

A small group of volunteers spent Sunday securing the abandoned ski area by installing plywood around open windows and doors.

Earlier this month, the Town of Middlefield requiring it to secure Powder Ridge ski area after years of neglect and vandalism have left the property in ruins. 

On Sunday, Dec. 18, a small group of volunteers spent several hours securing the property by installing plywood around open windows and doors. Future plans include installing fencing around some of the buildings.

The following volunteers should be recognized: Rob Poturnicki, John Manning, Rich DiLauro and John & Judy Muszynski.
