Who doesn't love a tasty baked treat?
Stop by the in Durham this weekend for the Catholic Outreach Committee's bake sale!
Proceeds from the sale will support Heifer International, an organization that donates animals to families in need in an effort to curb world hunger.
In an email to Patch, the Catholic Outreach Committee says that the sale will run before and after masses this weekend. Saturday's sale will run from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday's from 8 a.m. to noon.
The email says that the group is specifically trying to donate water buffalos to farmers in southeast Asia who can use the animals to plow and provide milk.
And if you want to support the cause but want to avoid those carbs, donation cards will be sold, too.
