Local Teens Step Up to Help
For the youth of Middlefield Federated Church it was a summer of missions, near and nearer.
This summer has been a busy one for the youth of the . In July, they kept their environmental footprint small and traveled to New Haven to serve along side 400 other kids from across the country doing light construction and repair for needy residents.
Fitch Spencer, Victoria Koch, Marissa Berry, Ben and Maddy Wooding, Alexander Staddon, Samantha Michaud, and Jacob Burt worked hard and played hard.

Great big thanks go to Elisabeth Kennedy who stepped up to the plate to be the other chapperone and making it all possible. All together, 29 churches from 9 states comprised the 69 crews and worked at 49 work sites in and around the city. Lots of great things were accomplished and NO ONE GOT HURT! Planning has already begun for next year.
Closer to home in August, 9 MFC Youth members worked on our very own church and finished the south entryway! They chiseled old tile, sanded the stairs, scrubbed, painted, re-tiled and just for good measure weeded and cleared brush.
