Help A Durham Family This Thanksgiving

Volunteer or donate to this year's Thanksgiving Holiday Basket Program.

Annually, Durham Interchurch Assistance prepares a Thanksgiving Holiday Basket Program for families and individuals. Stresses from financial difficulties, unemployment, medical problems, and other personal or family issues often create unanticipated hardships. 

Families or individuals having difficulties are encouraged to call Durham Human Services at 860-349-3153 to apply for a Thanksgiving Basket.

Families and organizations can sponsor an individual or family.  Donors can provide food gift cards in gift amounts of their choice and send them to:

Donations of turkeys will gratefully be accepted on Tuesday, Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Durham Activity Center located at 350 Main Street in Durham.

Please call Amanda at 860-349-3153 if you are interested in donating a turkey. Volunteers are needed to help coordinate distribution from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Nov. 22.
