Local Girl Scouts Invited to Celebrate Organization's 100th Anniversary

Girl Scouts will participate in a Friendship Circle on Monday, March 12 on the Durham Town Green.


Girl Scouts are preparing to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the organization this March. To mark the 100th anniversary on Monday, March 12, local Girl Scouts and their families and alumnae are invited to the Durham Town Green to participate in a Friendship Circle at 6:30 pm. Girl Scouts around the country will be celebrating this historic day.

The at Levi Coe has been moved to May. If anyone has any Girl Scout photos, books, memorabilia, etc. that they would be willing to lend the local scouts, please email or call Sheryl Pietrzyk Slight at slightes@sbcglobal.net or 860-349-2428.

The Durham/Middlefield Girl Scouts are also putting together a display for the Girl Scouts of Connecticut Jubilee celebration at the Durham Fairgrounds in May.
