Durham's Henry Coe to Be Honored by YMCA Camp Ingersoll

"Henry's energy, enthusiasm and love for the camp permeates all he does and is contagious to those around him."

On Saturday, September 8, 2012, the YMCA Camp Ingersoll will be holding its annual Gala from 5:30 – 11:30 pm at the camp’s Grand Pavilion. The annual Gala will include catered food, including a carving station, a cash bar, live dinner music, a DJ and dancing as well as a silent auction. This year’s Gala event is being held in celebration and recognition of Henry Coe and his legacy of forty years of service to the YMCA.

For the thousands of campers who attended Camp Ingersoll since the early 1970s, Henry Coe is a camp icon whose name is synonymous with fun summers spent at Ingersoll. Whether leading the camp in song around the flag pole in the morning, dismissing campers to busses in the afternoon or speaking to camp counselors or staff, Henry’s energy, enthusiasm and love for the camp permeates all he does and is contagious to those around him. Through tireless work and dedication he built a positive, supportive and accepting summer camp community that continues to serve the children and families of Northern Middlesex County.
