Top 5 Tech Gifts of the Holiday Season: Were You Naughty or Nice?

Which products deserve your money for your friends and family? Find out here!

1. Headphones — Klipsch s4i ll: These are one of the best in-ear headphones you can buy. Although a little expensive, they are durable, and the audio quality is incredible. Bass sounds wonderful!

Alternate: Audio Technica ATHM50. Again, you might have to pay a little more for these headphones, but for people who prefer over-the-ear headphones, these can’t be beat for comfort and sound quality.

2. Tablets: These days, you don’t need to spend an obscene amount of money to get a quality tablet. The iPad mini, for example, starts at $329 for the full iPad experience. It’s thin, light, and has the best battery life out of any 7-inch tablet.

Alternate: The Nexus 7 has a quad core processor and a great screen. It runs on Android, making it a great gift for anyone with an Android phone. Plus, it starts at only $199.

3. Flash drives: Who doesn’t need a flash drive? Not only can be they be used as file transfer/backup, you set them up as a bootable drive for diagnostic purposes.

There are many unique looks for flash drives, such as these Star Wars ones, or credit card shaped ones.

4. Video boxes: The Roku LT is a great way to upgrade any television. Using this small box, you can stream Internet TV such as Netflix, Amazon Instant, Hulu Plus, and a lot more with Roku’s app store. If you need high quality video output, the the HD model is only $10 more.

Alternate: The Apple TV is a great product for people who have already invested into the Apple ecosystem. Using it, you can stream the screen of your Apple product to your TV screen, and much more!

5. Wild card: What’s the best technology gift you’ve ever gotten for Christmas?

I personally loved the Palm Tungsten E2 PDA I got in 6th grade. Tell us in the comments! If you’re on the nice list, you’ll get a tablet. If you’re on the naughty list, you might end up with a PDA from 2007 along with your coal!

The traffic signal is a DOT project. I called today and spoke to the project manager who could notRead More give me an exact date of the start of construction and said he'd get back to me. That was a over four hours ago. The project, as indicated at several meetings, is scheduled for sometime this summer. The funding was put in last year and will carry over because the project is not yet ongoing.

Lisa, I am sorry to say this doesn't look like the kitty that has been around our house. Your MaddieRead More has more white on the chest. Do you have a picture of her from the front? I think her feet have more white, too. I'm sorry. I will keep my eyes open though. If you have another picture, I can post it at the store.
