The 300 is a decent tablet but honestly I would spring for the Infinity or the Nexus 10 first. I had the 101 and 201 and liked both other the the aluminum back on the 201 killing the GPS. If you need the keyboard dock (and it is really handy!) get the Infinity. If not get the Nexus 10, and they may have their own dock soon.

The problem I have with the Nexus 10 is that is has a dual-core processor powering that super-high resolution screen. (Lag is the enemy)
I will definitely check out the Infinity! What is your personal tablet of choice?

Jelly bean runs super smooth :) Honestly I'm not seeing lag on the Nexus 10, it is much better than the Nexus 7 was. And the 10 is certainly faster than my 201 was. Right now I have the 10, an iPad3, and a Kindle Fire HD 8.9". I want to like the Fire but the locked down OS is bothersome, I am not a fan of the carousel view for everything. I do think the screen size is great for media consumption.

Hey Trent, two things.
First, I'm using the Asus Transformer Infinity (TF700). Love it. It's a noticeable step up and improvement over the 300. Improvements include the processor, memory and screen/display. I checked out a 300 and previously owned a 201, so I am familiar with them. Second, you mentioned that you can't turn to Amazon for a new charger. While you are correct that it's an "Asus only connection," I find that a replacement charging cable may be purchased from Amazon. Either way, enjoy your tablet.

You're absolutely right, I had no idea that you could get a cable on Amazon. I was trying to illustrate the fact its a proprietary connection. Thanks for pointing it out!

seems like a nice unit.
that 'annoying' lag may be an artifact due to the power conservation strategy which gives you such a nice battery time. loading apps by the dozens may be remedied by use of sub categories, relieving the os from handling all the handles required at one time during screen refresh. does it get warm, at all, if ever? probably not, & that's a sign of excellent power management and good battery duration. as such, you, as a savvy programmer, may be able to locate that power/speed tweak and improve the lag time. that unused black border around the home icons does seem useless, maybe you can contact asus for an explanation? one other thing, provide more soft lighting in front of you, to illuminate your face. the image now has way too much background intensity for proper uTube or other vids, even a small single table lamp (3500K color) will make a great improvement. PS>> anything proprietary is the work of the devil! ;-))

The traffic signal is a DOT project. I called today and spoke to the project manager who could notRead More give me an exact date of the start of construction and said he'd get back to me. That was a over four hours ago. The project, as indicated at several meetings, is scheduled for sometime this summer. The funding was put in last year and will carry over because the project is not yet ongoing.

We live on Hubbard St. in Middlefield, but there was a sighting of a very similar sounding cat inRead More the Skeet Club Road area. I'm waiting for the poster to see this photo to let me know if she thinks it's her.

Lisa, I am sorry to say this doesn't look like the kitty that has been around our house. Your MaddieRead More has more white on the chest. Do you have a picture of her from the front? I think her feet have more white, too. I'm sorry. I will keep my eyes open though. If you have another picture, I can post it at the store.
