Putting the "Daily" into "The Daily MOMiter"

While January is the traditional time for making resolutions, June has always felt like the more natural month for setting goals. The sun finally makes regular appearances warming my bones and slowing me down, there's the automatic "school's out!" response from my student and teaching days, and it feels like there's more time as the sun sets later and later.

If you've taken the time to read my new blog The Daily MOMiter, thank you, but you've probably noticed there's nothing "daily" about it. Blame my kids, blame exhaustion, blame events and illnesses, but really, at the end of the day, that's a lot of blah, blah, blah. So, for the month of June, I've set myself the goal of putting the "daily" into The Daily MOMiter by posting something every single day.

While researchers have found that it can take a person anywhere between 18 days and 84 days to form a habit, I'm hoping 30 will do the trick for me. I invite you to offer me topic ideas at christina@christinadreyfus.com, and I welcome all the encouragement you can throw at me. Favorite treats lately are these raw brownies that help tame my chocolate cravings, and Deerfield Farm's whole fat yogurt drizzled with raw honey. Mmm... But a simple "like" on Facebook or tweet on Twitter works wonders, too.

Speaking of June, Father's Day is just around the corner, and fair is fair. Earlier this month I wrote about the top ten things dads need to know for Mother's Day, and now it's Dad's turn.

Email me whatever comes into your mind about what moms need to know about Father's Day. It's all in good fun, and if you don't share, how can your lady know your favorite way to celebrate? I won't rat you out, I promise.

Write me at christina@christinadreyfus.com by Sunday, June 9th to ensure your contribution makes the list!
