The MOMS Club Annual Tag Sale is being held this Saturday, May 18, 8:00-1:00 at 241 Higganum Road in Durham. No early birds please.
Every year, the MOMS Club (Moms Offering Moms Support), holds a tag sale with all proceeds to benefit non-profit organizations. Last year, the tag sale raised over $1,200 dollars with the money being distributed to the UConn Health Center Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and local organizations such as the Levi E. Coe Library and the Durham Public Library.
This year, the club has voted to donate the bulk of the tag sale earnings to The Sandy Ground Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to building 26 playgrounds in honor of the 26 victims that were killed in the Sandy Hook School tragedy in Newtown. All 26 playgrounds will be built in towns that were affected by Hurricane Sandy.
All tag sale items are donated by MOMS Club members and include clothing, children's clothing, toys, baby items, housewares, kitchenware, and more.
