From the BETTER CHOICE 2011 committee: In memory of the victims and the heroes of September 11th, 2001

We of the Better Choice 2011 committee would like to set aside our political differences today and shake hands with our political colleagues throughout the electoral arena and pause in solemn memory of the lives that were lost on September 11, 2001.

Regardless of where we stand on our individual political parties, our ideologies, or our viewpoints, on that day of September 11th, we all stood together in horror from the blind, irrational hatred we witnessed, we all stood together in grief from the obscene destruction of human life and human dignity, and we all stood together in resolution that we would never surrender to the evil that entered our lives that day.

Although many of our brothers and sisters are now no longer with us, and we would give back all the memorials and flags to be able to see our fallen loved ones smile once more, we can take some small comfort in knowing that it is from their memory that allows us, regardless of where we stand on our individual political parties, our ideologies, or our viewpoints, to all stand together again today, as Americans.
