Samsung Announces Galaxy S4 Flagship Smartphone

Samsung Announces New Flagship Phone: Samsung S4

On March 14, Samsung held a press conference to announce their successor to the extremely popular Galaxy S3. It was certainly unique, with Broadway coming on stage to “act out” features of the new phone. At one point, there was a tap dance.
The S4 showed marked improvement over the S3 in several areas. The main thing that has been improved is the screen. It’s now bigger and contains more megapixels. In fact, it has a 1080p screen, making text and pictures look extremely sharp and clear. To complement the screen, Samsung put a 13 megapixel camera into the S4, a jump from the 8 megapixel in the previous generation. This should increase the amount of detail in every picture taken with the phone. One other new piece of hardware is the addition of an IR blaster, so that the phone can be used as a remote for a TV.
In addition to the new hardware, the S4 contains many cool software tricks. Among these are S Translator, Group Play, and Knox. The translator allows you to type in a question and then have it be spoken back in any of 9 languages. Then, it will listen to the response and translate it back to you. Group Play enables music to play on up to 8 devices simultaneously. Knox is a special security feature that encrypts business data to keep it safe and separate from your personal information.
