While Durham and Middlefield don't put on their own display, there are plenty of opportunities close to home to catch fireworks around the Fourth of July.

 

Madison Wednesday, July 4 West Wharf Beach Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. (Madison will also host an Independence Day Parade at 11 a.m.) 

New Haven Wednesday, July 4 East Rock Park Fireworks at dusk

New Britain Wednesday, July 4 Stanley Quarter Park Event starts at 5 p.m., fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

Meriden Thursday, July 5 Hubbard Park Event starts at 5:30 p.m., fireworks at dusk

Wallingford  Saturday, July 7 Sheehan High School Event starts at 5 p.m., fireworks at dusk

Hartford Saturday, July 7 32nd Annual Riverfest - 300 Constitution Plaza Event starts at 4 p.m., fireworks at 9 p.m.

Portland Saturday, July 7 Portland Exchange Club Grounds (Route 17) Event starts at 5 p.m., fireworks at dusk

Guilford  Saturday, July 14 Guilford Fair Grounds Fireworks at dusk
