The Connecticut Forest & Park Association has put together a full weekend of trail-tastic events taking place across the state.

The theme for this year's celebration, which will take place on Saturday, June 2 and Sunday, June 3, is "America's Largest TRAILgating Party."

According to the Connecticut Forest & Park Association's website, 193 enticing events are planned for this weekend, taking place in 121 towns encompassing more than 540 miles of trails.

Here's a few nearby events planned for the weekend:

  • Hike - Sunday, June 3 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Millers Pond State Park/Mattabesett Trail in Durham
  • Hike - Saturday, June 2 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Winkel Pond Trail in Killingworth
  • Hike - Sunday, June 3 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at Wadsworth Falls State Park and Captain's Field in Middlefield
