Standout student athlete finishing career at CRHS!

Friend, teammate, Champion.. These are just a few of the words that best describe Lauren Esposito. Lauren in her time at Coginchaug High School has been a standout 3 sport athlete. She has played Soccer, Basketball and Softball. This season for basketball she was a major part in helping her team achieve the ultimate goal of winning the class S state championship at Mohegan Sun.

 But as great as she is in all three of these sports it is interesting to when you ask her that softball is her favorite of the three sports she plays.  She plays first base and platoons pitching duties.

I recently had a chance to talk to Lauren what her plans are after she is done playing sports at Coginchaug.

After her playing career is over at Coginchaug she plans on going to Stonehill in MA. to be a veterinarian and also to play softball.

So as you can see this well rounded person is not only a great student-athlete but a great person. So as the softball regular season winds down and the playoffs start lets make sure to go out and support the team and seniors as they move on to bigger things.
