Coginchaug Softball Goes Out in Style

The high school athletic season comes to an end in style.

The softball season started back in late March and ended Friday night in West Haven with the class S state championship game. The Coginchaug Blue Devils (23-4) defeated St. Bernard 6-0 to win the state championship.

The Blue Devils were led by a dominate pitching performance by Lauren Esposito who had an impressive 11 K's and great defense by the team, especially a great catch by freshman 3rd basemen Courtney Votto and all around great hitting by the whole team.

The Blue Devils were top to bottom at the top of there game Friday night and were able to bring home the trophy.

I would suggest to parents to donate a book to the classroom or school library in their child's nameRead More to celebrate the child's birthday, or other significant event, instead of sending in cupcakes or other sweets.
