Middlefield's Tim Boyle Commits to Play at UConn

The Xavier quarterback said Sunday night that he's planning to play for the Huskies this fall.

Middlefield's Tim Boyle said Sunday night that he's committed to play football at the University of Connecticut.

Boyle said he visited the school on Sunday where he announced the decision, thereby ending his previous committment to Boston College.

A three-time state champion with the Falcons, Boyle was recently named the Connecticut High School Coaches' Association's player of the year. He also considered Oregon and Pittsburgh, according to reports.

"I wanted to keep my options open and UConn was always in my top three. I’ve always loved UConn. They’ve always been great to me," Boyle told the Hartford Courant's Desmond Conner.

Boyle plans to sign his letter of intent on National Signing Day this Wednesday at the high school in Middletown.
